Murphy comes to my mind when things go wrong

I talked too much about the Volleyball tournament that I played these days. We lost the final in straight sets. Our star player was injured and we had to get a person to replace him. I did not play as someone from my group, who is close to captain, turned up just before the match and said that he represented his college. I agreed to sit and encourage. Anyway, my absence would not have altered the outcome. Sadly, there was no pressure at anytime of the match on the opposition.
I wrote a powerprep test on this Saturday. My scaled scores were 47 and 18 in Quant and Verbal respectively. I felt bad as powerprep are known to be close to ETS actuals. Now, I understand the consistency and fire that is required while preparing. I attribute my failure to two things. Whatever little time that I devoted in recent times for my GMAT was mostly spent on Quant. Verbal questions that were solved in the class were actually there in the powerprep test. Everytime, I finalise the answer, I started to think that I was thinking in the similar lines in the class and went wrong. So, I chose a different answer than picking the one that I thought is right. This was evident when I looked at answers. Whatever may be the reasons, I failed miserably in Verbal. I am sure preparation with no gaps can only improve my performance. I will start off with Kaplan strategies this week on Verbal and take the second test from Powerprep next Saturday. Let me see if that helps. Two failures in two days when I built lot of hopes in me. Who else than Murphy could be thougt about when things go wrong when you badly want them to go right? I just can forget about the loss in Volleyball but not the second failure. How many days can i continue to fail? Not anymore. Gear up. Put in your best to be there!
Had a nice weekend trip to Shameerpet. Audio system in Arasu's car was excellent and Konda's digicam was great too. Ofcourse, least to say, these guys were energetic throught the trip and it was wonderful to have such a travel with them. I will see if some PICs could be posted in the blog.
