What can I say about Kolkata? I have been reaing in newspapers that Budhdhadeb Bhattacharjee changed Kolkata. If that is to be believed, I am not able to imagine what it was like 5 years back. Oh GOD! There are few flyovers constructed in the city in Budhdhdeb's term. City looks pretty old in terms of transportation, roads, buildings and vehicles on the road. I see more than two Corollas and two Octavias in a distance of one KM in Hyderabad. What do you find in Kolkata? Lot of Ambassadors painted in Yellow buzzing all around. One reason why one cannot find many modern cars on Kolkata roads may be because of its traffic. Pretty bad! Metro rail is very different from what we have in Mumbai, Chennai and Hyd. Metro rail is also like a city bus which stops at traffic signals all that. Metro rail is like any other city bus but runs on a rail road which is actually laid in the middle of the road. It must be tough for the riders there. Helmet is must even for pillion rider. I swa many riders wearing either POLO caps or helmets that batters in Cricket wear. It shows the interest for Cricket! Hyderabad is pretty modern in any sense. Electronic city in Kolkata needs more than two decades if it has to beat Hi-Tech city. TATA Indicom displayed the ads featuring Ganguly everywhere in the city.
