Too small a twist in THE VILLAGE!!

Manoj's Signs and Sixth Sense were largely appreciated but The Village may not make him any better than what he is. He is yet maintained his style, creativity and technicality. He appears in Signs but made sure his image alone appears in The Village.
I am not very sure what I feel about this movie. Not many movies of 120 min. length were appreciated with just a small twist at the end. Thank God, twist was not told to me before I decided to go. I make sure I do not reveal it to anyone, anywhere.
Movie started with a funeral followed by a dinner. Manoj did not want to talk in length about what these villagers do for a living all that. Creatures mostly referred in the entire movie as 'THOSE WE DO NOT SPEAK OF', had a pact with the villagers long time ago. Creatures live in towns and not to say Villagers in The Village. Villagers will never go to towns and creatures will not visit the Village is the pact that could never be broken. The creatures one time or the other affected every villager but none dares to know what the creatures are. Lucius Hunt (Phoenix, Gladiator fame) tries to convince the elders to go to towns. The daughter of one of the leaders of the villagers is blind but could see every single thing that happens around. Manoj knows why but somehow felt it is not necessary for the viewers to know after all this is a movie. Blind lady is in love with Lucius. A mad boy in the village loves her too. Why just two? She is awesome to be loved by more than two people in a small village!! Mad boy tries to kill Lucius but medicine that is available in towns can separate Lucius from death. I did not like the blind lady doing that great work to get medicine. I cannot imagine the amount of inspiration/motivation LOVE brings in.
I can't tell you the twist in my post bcoz you would decide not to go. Violin in the background keeps screaming all the time. If one looks at ROI, Manoj definitely gets sound applause. Great camera work, good dialogues and nice romance are credits where as logic and substance are lacking in THE VILLAGE. It is worth watching for the romance, stars, and of course the scary 'BOO's and 'GOO's once or twice. Wish, Manoj comes up with a script which is a full length entertainer not just few bits here and there.
