More time with GMAT books means better score

I took Arco's diagnostic test last weekend. Quant was little tough towards the end of the test and Verbal was bit tough as usual. PS questions were damn easy abd DS questions were bit tricky. I scored 84% in the quant and DS screwed it up this time. CR was very tricky and more than one answer choice was pretty close. I ended up scoring just 59% in verbal. It was 640 in total. I had a good time with RC section but failed to score well in SC and CR. I am disappointed bcoz I did not score well in SC section. I have been doing a lot of SCs in recent times. But, I made some silly mistakes while solving SC questions. After the complete analysis, I felt that I could have improved my score if I had reduced silly mistakes in SC and CR. But, that is always there after the test. While writing the test, I remind myself but end up making the same mistakes.
Our cable operator airing Star Sports and ESPN now. Lot of action on sports channels these days. Cricket, Australian Open, PHL and NBA on one channel or the other. It is not possible for me to completely ignore sports but I can cut down the amount of time spend on watching sports. I will have to do atleast 20 quant, 30 verbal everyday from now. More time with the books means better score. I will assess once again after this week. I will try taking one power prep test this weekend at Visu lab.
