Not easy to change contact numbers but changed

I communicated the change in my contact numbers through all the media that includes mail,messenger and SMS. I thought of posting in my blog but thought that most of the visitors have been covered through other media. It is all over and it is time I cover every known person. So, thought to have a post on that. My residence number is +914055763053 and my office number is +914055672000 (Ext-3350). Open your address book right away and note down the numbers immediately if you are not sure to have updated them recently.
It is not that easy as I thought to get a phone connection. I visited their office more than five times and called them more than 15 times to enquire about the status. The standard reply that I got was 'We apologize for the inconvenience caused and the issue would be resolved in two days time'. How many times would I have thought about the quality of services provided by the major telecom players? They (Hutch, Airtel especially) impressed me to a great deal but one wireless connection from TATA Indicom took away all that in a very short time. It is profitable to outsource the call centre operations but service levels can never be compromised. Bcoz, they drive the business. It is very important for the businesses like telecom to have integrated systems to provide service. All your departments need to have well integrated systems and provide service irrespective of the channel through which the service request is raised. I am yet to start with the book titled 'CRM @ speed of the light'. Some of the jargon already flowing. I will come back with something on services after reading the book.
